Charles Fazzino

Charles Fazzino, world acclaimed American pop artist, has created his own unique mix of the art form. The seeds of his inspiration came from artistic family roots and from Manhattan, the city which fired his youthful imagination during his formative early childhood years. His young and fertile creative mind was captivated by giant picture books depicting life in late 20th Century urban America. 3-D movies and pop-up story books further sparked his imagination. His work depicts the remnants of childhood visions of yellow taxi cabs, the Statue of Liberty, storefronts decked with color, and the heart throb of life itself that is embodied in Manhattan.

As a youth, Charles would take advantage of every opportunity to ride the train into the city to absorb the color and excitement of the Village of Central Park. The late 1970's and early 1980's found him as a regular at the Washington Square Park Outdoor Art Festival in the Village. The diversity and strength of his work quickly escalated him to the National art circuit exhibiting at shows such as Ann Arbor Art Festival in Michigan, Miami’s Coconut Grove Art Festival, and the Las Olas Museum Art Festival in Ft. Lauderdale. Today, the artist continues to show in international urban areas such as Paris, Frankfurt, Zurich and Tokyo.

Fazzino’s works include brilliantly pigmented serigraphs, mixed media lithographs and posters. Some of his images offer kinetic pieces with quartz movements utilized to create continuous motion. His pop-out book presents rare insight into the thought process of the artist himself, with a very intimate, personal look into his life. Added excitement is presented through sculptures, jewelry, pillows, and ties.

These products are one of a special licensing empire. Additionally, limited edition 3-D animation pieces have been produced as a collective creative effort with King Features Syndicate, Hanna-Barbera Studios, and most recently with Disney. These images have exhibited universal market appeal which have resulted in unprecedented sales and acclaim for the artist.

Many of his works sell out before they are released and collectors are now paying a premium for scarce older editions of his work. All of his images "tell a story" and are highlighted by commentary from the artist on urban life. Visual punctuation consisting of glitter and rhinestones shine forth where it "zings" the work with an incredible electric quality. Fazzino themes include cityscapes alive with the bustle of daily activity, people, children, hot air balloons, and images of Broadway, literally spring form the works.

The 1996 Olympics and the spirit of the city of Atlanta inspired his work "Always a Dream, Always Atlanta". Sports fans be prepared to be dazzled with Fazzino themes on golf, tennis, football, soccer and ice hockey. Themes on professions such as doctors, dentists, and lawyers are presented with droll commentary and fun, leaving all with an uplifted sense of the humor in life.
